Ford India today launched the iconic 'American' muscle car Mustang in India. The Mustang in India will be available only in one variant, ie the GT Fastback. This comes with 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8 engine which generates power of 396bhp and 515Nm of torque.
The easiest way to differentiate a sports car from a muscle car is in the handling. Muscle cars, like the Dodge Challenger are all about straight away, raw power and focus less on handling. A sports car, like the Chevy Corvette or the Mustang GT would do well cornering on a track, thus they qualify as sports cars.
Like the great Tim “the Tool Man” Taylor, you want “more power!” You want speed. You want to have fun on the road, rattles and squeaks included. The thrill of driving a cool, bold — and borderline obnoxious — sports car is the whole point of owning a Mustang
Is the Ford Mustang a Good Car? Yes, the Ford Mustang is a good car. It offers several potent powertrains and exhibits the corner-carving handling ability that makes sports cars so appealing. The Mustang provides a smooth ride, has comfortable front seats, and looks good inside and out.
The Mustang GT still sticks to its beloved 5.0L V8 churning out 460 ponies, but it's more responsive than ever. In addition, when said engine is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission, it's also incredibly exciting to drive.
